Way to go, Rangers!

The fourth and final round of the Second Annual Minnesota Quidditch Halloween Tournament pitted our top two teams against each other. After thirty minutes of hoop-breaking, extreme game faces, and random hugging, Goldy’s Army won it all for the second year in a row, beating Inquisitorial Squad 180-80.

For all of you who did not believe my University has a Quidditch team. Yeah.

Yeah. Was definitely at that game. They had him on the big screen at Miller Park forever… The whole group I was with made simultaneous “woah/puke” noises… I blame him for the crappy score.

Busy summer.

So, I’ve been pretty darn lazy since I quit my job back in May. I’ve been trying to entertain myself by doing things that cost little to no money. Hence the hours of video games, free zoo’s, lots of LOST, etc. However, after this week, things are gonna change.

This week is opening week for Titanic. We start on Thursday and have 11 performances until July 31st. I’m excited because my mom, sister, brother, and Memaw are coming in from Texas to see the show our last weekend. They’ll be here from the 24th to the 30th, so we’ve got 6 days to do stuff around the cities. It’s been a year and a month since I moved to MN and they’ve not been up since July of last year. Now that I know the area a little better, I am able to show them more things and take them places other than the MOA. (Ugh, that wasn’t fun.)

So, I’m excited to take them to the water park, Como Zoo, MOA, maybe to a ballgame, to a lake, to Alimagnet with Maxwell, etc. I made them promise they wouldn’t spend more than one day at the MOA so we’d have more time to do stuff. We’ll see if they can hold up their end of the bargain.

After they leave, I will have 4 days to get ready and packed to go to LA! I am so excited because Chris and I get to be there for nearly 2 weeks. He has to work, but I get to explore, tour, and see the area. I’ve never been to CA so I’m excited to go. Of course, we’re spending at least one day at Disneyland so you can just imagine my excitement when I say that. I’ve been to Disney World a few times so going to Disneyland will be WONDERFUL! I’m going to be that excited 12 year old girl again, I just know it.

After we get back, I’ll have approx. 2 weeks to get ready and then I’ll start my junior year of college! You have no idea how ready I am for that. :)

So, needless to say, I’m excited for the next couple of months. I’m ready to get back into school, theatre departments, and a real college life. I’ve missed it.

Well, we’re trying to book our flight to LA so I better go help out with that. Thanks for reading, everyone!
